of-the-art computerized technology in place at her firm, she can quickly and efficiently draft documents and electronically access unlimited legal resources needed to provide timely and quality service to her clients.
In addition to her practice as an attorney, Kristen is also a Florida state Certified Public Accountant. Although she does not actively practice accounting, her knowledge in matters of accounting benefits her in estate planning because it often involves implications of estate taxes which, with careful planning, can be minimized or eliminated; and in business planning when choosing the proper form of entity and in real estate transactions.
In this area of real estate, Kristen's practice focuses on real estate closings; title insurance; and preparation, review and negotiations of contracts. Her interest in this area developed out of a background in construction, interior design and construction litigation. In addition to her many impressive credentials, Kristen has a degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and she is also a Florida state certified general contractor. Her construction and design talents were put to the test when she successfully pulled together a 200 man team to assist in the opening of Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure theme park and Citywalk complex in Orlando.
In May of 2002 she was elected President of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers and served one year. In 2003 Kristen was elected to the executive council of The Orange County Bar Association and served for two years.
