Mark is a multi-generational Floridian and a descendent of early Spanish explorers who settled in St. Augustine, Florida. Before his graduation with honors from Apopka High School in 2002, Mark was invited to an executive internship program through Valencia Community College and Orange County Public Schools at Wright Entertainment, a company that manages high-selling record musicians and celebrities. During his internship he was responsible for archiving footage and documenting major news stories regarding specific artists.
In 2006, Mark earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. Along with great communication and leadership abilities, Mark won first place in the Capstone Program at U.C.F.., where he utilized analysis, risk management, and contingency planning skills. Soon after graduation, Mark was hired by the Bank of New York Mellon as a Mutual Fund Analyst responsible for the tracking and management of the movement of multiple funds of substantial amounts for corporate clients and making all necessary trades with such multi-million dollar accounts.
Realizing he possesses the set of skills, determination, leadership, and knowledge to become a lawyer, along with eagerness to communicate with and help people, Mark left his job with the Bank of New York soon after being accepted to law school, where he has been a full-time law student since 2008, in Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, in Orlando, FL.
As for his special interests, Mark is a sports fan, especially for football and basketball. He is also a great musician and has been playing the guitar (electric and acoustic) and tuba for almost 15 years. He was part of the school band during his high school years and also his own rock band for over two years. His talent for playing music earned him several scholarships and an All County Band Award for being one the twelve best high school tuba players in the county.
